In a dominant performance, England secured another win against Albania, with several players producing memorable displays on the pitch.

First-choice XI

The goalkeeper Was rarely tested required before the break until called into action by an opponent's bent shot. His sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker demonstrated excellent reading of the game. 6/10

The debutant Challenged by Albania’s main danger in Hoxha. Played more centrally initially later drifted out wide after Saka entered the fray. 7

John Stones Pushed up the pitch with the ball at his feet, as he has done in the past. On occasion lacked urgency in possession with the experiment discontinued at half-time. 6/10

The tall defender Always dangerous at set pieces, as always, perhaps is an alternative to Stones in defense instead of alongside him. A careless distribution after the break came close to an opener for the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly A further confident performance from the 20-year-old following his first cap against Serbia. A teammate was unable to take full advantage of a gorgeous touch over their defense. The left-back spot looks secure at this stage. Seven

The newcomer A debut start for his country. A bit sloppy on the ball though his dangerous set-pieces were a threat. A useful game manager available to the manager to utilize versus defensive opponents. Cautioned for a poorly timed tackle. Six

Declan Rice Set-pieces on corner kicks and free kicks caused problems. Had freedom to roam on the left only to be offside upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned substitution on the hour mark. 6/10

The star midfielder Functioned in an advanced role out wide and did plenty of dirty work. Displayed glimpses of brilliance and scuffed a shot high. Withdrawn towards the end by Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's best chance of the first half, his shot smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to offer an outlet down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Substituted with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The match-winner netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth goals for his country. The opener a classic close-range tap-in while the second a classy finish with his head after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. Eight

The attacker Struggled to get into the game on the left flank. Had a presentable chance after being played in from a teammate however Strakosha made the save. Rashford made much more of influence in his place. 5/10
